CubiZm Cafe Presents: Americana/Blues Out Saturday, August 19 4:00- 7:30 pm

Get in touch for exact address.

On a day when many of you might be missing the Old Poole Farm, we are presenting you a taste of original and traditional Americana /folk, and original and traditional blues. Come join the Party!

Local Philly artist Julieann Ott describes her style as rootsy pop, jumping styles with a sincerity that honors her influences: Patty Griffin, Ryan Adams, REM. Her original songs are melodic and well crafted; her covers, carefully chosen, are sung with tenderness, power, and an edge, but always with conviction, honesty, and intensity. Vocals, music, and lyrics sweet and nuanced one minute, the next a punch to the gut, and though you might hear some twang, it won't hurt a bit! Juileann can often be heard with Rob Lincoln, in their duo, Railroad Wings. Check out her recently released EP, Freight Train Lullaby.

The Terri Camilari Trio, known by most as TC3, is an acoustic trio which focuses on original Americana and choice folk- rock, and traditional covers. They exhibit the female power, made up of Terri Camilari (lead vocals, guitar, standard and high string, song writing), Ruth Harper (vocals and guitar) and Elsa Haile( violin). TC3’s highlight this year was opening for Chelsea Berry at Steel City Coffee and Brewery. Having appeared in the Chester, Delaware and Berks county area, TC3 is happy to once again be invited to play the Wayne Porchfest, and several benefits this autumn. (Terri Camilari has had five originals get air play on folk radio in the states and abroad over the past year, and a top ten cover of Joni Mitchell's Magdalene Laundries.)

Jon Burrowes grew up in the Boston area. He began playing folk music in high school and switched to rock and roll and blues in college. Jon has worked in bands and/or played in Montreal, Cambridge MA, New York, Philadelphia, Huron South Dakota, and San Francisco CA. Jon's first CD of original songs, "One More Ride" came out in 2022 and made it onto the Folk charts. He's working on a second CD due out in 2023. Jon's music ranges from guitar-based folk to jazz, blues, country, rock, R&B, and international. Jon is known for his polished lyrics, peppy grooves, and thoughtful innovative harmonies. Jon is grateful to be among songwriters in Philadelphia, and is delighted to have been invited to play at Cubizm Cafe!

STEVIE AND THE BLUESCASTERS is an acoustic blues and roots trio. They play unique arrangements of all kinds of blues (Chicago, Delta, Piedmont, Country) with some international Blues (Fado, Mourna, Ladino) a bit of old gospel and old country, and a pinch of R&B thrown into the mix!
